By the time I was 22

both my parents had passed away. I had little money, and fewer prospects. Despair be damned, I did the arduous personal work to overcome obstacles both emotional and spiritual.

I want to help people.

From 2009-2011 I pursued a license in massage therapy because more than anything else, my motivation is to help others.

This was a significant factor in my move to Hawaii, where massage therapy skills are taken to a very high level.

Eventually, my work in therapy led me to pursue a degree in psychology from Naropa University. With Buddhist teachings as its underpinning, the degree in Contemplative Psychology that I attained truly opened up my mind to what is common to all and where our diversity lies.
